Scott is a shareholder attorney and one of the founding attorneys of Halloin Law Group, S.C., licensed in both Wisconsin and Illinois. For more than two decades, Scott has focused his practice on complex construction, construction-related insolvency, and toxigenic mold litigation.

He is one of the most experienced construction and real estate litigators in Wisconsin. He has logged thousands of hours handling construction or real estate related hearings, trials and arbitrations, and has handled hundreds of motions and witness examinations in the field.

One of the first and is one of a select handful of lawyers in the Midwest to practice in a narrow subset of commercial and residential construction and real estate litigation concerning toxigenic mold issues, Scott has handled mold-related cases extensively since the first significant cases were filed in the late 1990s. Scott's become a regular speaker on toxigenic mold issues and related topics of construction contract, design, and code compliance at legal and construction industry seminars.

He's also handled a substantial number of construction-related insolvency issues, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and receivership claims. In particular, he has developed significant experience with priority issues, frequently speaking on and suggesting changes to the governing law.

Irrespective of his extensive trial experience, Scott’s passion long has been legal writing. He strongly believes that a good lawyer should be able to effectively communicate complicated factual and legal matters in an easy-to-understand (and when possible, enjoyable) manner. If you ask Scott about what he is most proud in his professional career, he will respond that it is the large numbers of judges and lawyers who highly have commended Halloin Law Group, S.C.'s brief-writing abilities.
